Mighty Pines’ mission is to encourage mothers in raising up children for the Lord through the strength of community. We are mothers who feel passionately about home education, equipping our children with a feast of knowledge & His truth, and actively living the command of “love your neighbor as yourself” within our community and the world!

Our Foundational Truths & Community guidelines!

Foundational Truths

1 – God commands us firstly to love Him. (Matthew 22:36-38)

2 – God commands us secondly to love others. (Matthew 22:39, John 13:35)

3 – Children are a gift from the Lord!  (Psalm 127:3)

4 – God’s gift of salvation is for all! (John 3:16)

5 – God created us male and female, with a specific design for marriage. (Genesis 1:27,  Genesis 2:24, Romans 1:26-28)

Community Guidelines

1 – Mighty Pines is for homeschooling families. Homeschooling is defined as the keeping all or most of the children at home with the intention of homeschooling being the primary mode of education for your family for this school year. While we know God calls us all to different educational choices for our families, we want Mighty Pines chapters to specifically be an encouraging place for families who homeschool.

2 – Mighty Pines is not for profit. Community fees may be collected to use for supplies, but Mighty Pines chapters cannot be set up for the monetary profit of individuals or groups.

3 – Mighty Pines believes in the power of nature play! We encourage all groups to make outdoor meetings their primary goal (when seasonally appropriate). If lesson time cannot be completed outdoors, then we encourage the ending of every Mighty Pines day to conclude with outdoor play.

4- Mighty Pines believes in consistency. To create community, you must have some type of regular attendance. We let families know that irregular attendance may make them ineligible for the following school year. Firm boundaries and clear expectations with group size are healthy. We ask that all leaders respond (even if it is to convey you are full) to any inquiries about your group.

5 – Mighty Pines is committed to being a group of women of noble character. Lend a hand when needed. Refrain from gossip. Encourage one another. Be kind and respectful when talking to others. Settle conflicts amongst children with each other. Forgive for offenses. We are all sinners, thankfully redeemed by Him, and are commanded to extend the same to others.

6 – Mighty Pines is committed to mothering together! You can’t build a forest with one tree. On Mighty Pines days, all mothers work together during lesson time.  Every mother has an assigned role – whether that’s leading a lesson, watching a teacher’s young children, or assisting with activities.
